Designed as a fast track to global citizenship education, SIMA Classroom takes students on a journey from empathy and critical thinking to action. Over 2,215 educators, 73,120 students and 470 institutions globally are already using the platform.
Selected from the finalists and winners of the annual Social Impact Media Awards, SIMA Classroom is a global, ever-current and expansive streaming platform presenting the gold standard of social-issue cinematic storytelling. It provides access to a carefully curated collection of over 185 award-winning short documentaries and Virtual Reality films with learning resources and participatory skill-building lesson plans.
In these unprecedented times, some things have become evident: there are urgent issues we need to tackle without delay and we need to collaborate and unite to find long term solutions. In order to contribute to this common endeavor, we have expanded the offer of our transformational educational resources to kick off relevant conversations and we have renewed key partnerships to scale our impact.
We have launched the RACIAL JUSTICE PLAYLIST, with a carefully curated selection of films confronting viewers with our history and our present reality of racial injustice, one that we need to look straight into the eyes in order to create a new era of truth and justice.
In partnership with UNPLASTIFY we developed a playlist and lesson plan to invite students to connect emotionally with the topic of plastic pollution and get inspired to take action.
Together with Qatar Foundation International we co-created the ARAB WORLD VISION playlist and challenge highlighting the importance of cross-cultural understanding, respect, and tolerance to overcome global challenges as a community. Additionally, the Aarabic Honor Society has joined the partnership to enable hundreds of students from different countries to participate in the Student Film Club, who watch monthly film picks on pressing global issues and attend a virtual exchange with experts and changemakers.
Thank you so much for your ongoing support!
With warmth and gratitude from all of us at SIMA Classroom.
