Dear friends,
Because of your generosity through the GlobalGiving Emergency Relief Fund, we have just completed the installation of a new community water filtration station in Bogodukhiv, a frontline town in the Kharkiv region. This achievement is more than a technical upgrade — it is a lifeline for families living under constant threat.
And it was made possible by you.
A community that refuses to give up
Bogodukhiv lies dangerously close to the Russian border. Airraid sirens, explosions, and damaged infrastructure have become part of daily life. Yet the people here continue to show extraordinary resilience. They rebuild, they support one another, and they refuse to surrender their hope for a peaceful future.
When we began this project, local residents immediately stepped forward. They helped prepare the site, laid paving stones, installed outdoor access points, and made sure the station would be visible and accessible to everyone — especially the elderly and families with children. Their hands are literally in every part of this installation.
This is what community resilience looks like.
What your support made possible
Thanks to your donations, we were able to install:
A full water purification and softening system
Largecapacity filtration units ensuring safe drinking water 24/7
Outdoor access points so any resident can fill containers for free
A secure, energyresilient setup that continues working even during outages
Every day, people come with bottles, canisters, and containers — and they leave with clean, safe water for their families. For many, this is the first time in months they can rely on a stable source of drinking water.
A moment from Bogodukhiv
One resident told us while filling his container:
“We live under constant strikes, but we still live. This station reminds us that we are not forgotten.”
Your support does more than provide water — it restores dignity, stability, and the feeling that the world still stands with them.
Why this matters now
As attacks continue, essential services remain fragile. Clean water is not just a convenience — it is survival. With every station we install, we reduce the burden on families, support local authorities, and strengthen the community’s ability to endure and recover.
Bogodukhiv now has a reliable source of safe drinking water because of you.
What’s next
We are already assessing nearby communities facing similar challenges. With your continued support, we can expand this network of emergency water stations and bring relief to thousands more.
Thank you
Your kindness is making life a little easier — and a lot safer — for people living on the edge of the war. Thank you for standing with Ukraine, for believing in resilience, and for helping us bring hope where it is needed most.
With gratitude, Vlas Shurubko Director, Power in UA
