Villagers in Talaky, the next site due to benefit from clean drinking water via this campaign, are impatient for it to be their turn! They regularly ask the Feedback Madagascar field agents when work will start.
The water situation is worsened in the current drought conditions, when traditional open springs are drying-up - people are forced to walk further afield to find water or to use seriously contaminated sources. Diarrhoeal disease is particularly common at the moment.
Many of you will have also heard about Madagascar's current plague epidemic. A key means to prevent this spreading is the promotion of hygiene and sanitation - for which water is also a key component.
Please help us to give the people of Talaky the gift of clean drinking water.
