To achieve the most impact in skill development in a child or adolescent with autism by providing full-time in-person specialized education, coupled with a structured and predictable environment at home. Today, there are no longer COVID19 restrictions on fully opening our classrooms. A child in school develops the skills to become more independent and, in turn, their family. In addition, teachers and their families benefit from the opportunity to work and thrive.
The Pandemic limited in-classroom attention these past two years. As a result, many children and adolescents with autism have faced developmental and intervention delays. Today, there are no restrictions on school openings. Yet, the cost of living has risen (i.e., 2021-2022, 56% in US$ dollars), and we expect financial support to be the decisive enrolling factor for as many as 90% of those applying to our in-person programs. How do we ensure the well-being of our families today and tomorrow?
To facilitate and develop each student's independence and autonomy, we will provide access to our in-classroom psychoeducational program and operate at total capacity. To ensure sustainability, we will hire and train more teachers and psychologists, develop a new generation of specialists in the area, and additional / younger talent within Autismo en Voz Alta. In 2022 our goal is to serve as many families as we did in 2020 when Covid hit.
Continue to operate, provide, and introduce educational services to address the developmental needs of those with autism, with access to need-based financial support. We are committed to moving forward, learning, and improving. We seek to develop the skills of children/teens with autism and their families to facilitate their effective integration into society. For many children with autism, we are the only educational alternative in Venezuela. Your trust and unwavering support motivate us.
