3. CHUNHUI CARE HOME Program STORY
Little Mumu was a baby suffered from congenital anal atresia. Because of the urgency of his condition, he needed to be operated on as soon as possible, so as soon as little Mumu was sent to Shanghai Chunhui Care Home, Ma Mama accompanied him to Xinhua Hospital where he was hospitalized and underwent anoplasty at the end of the month.
After the operation, little Mumu was transferred to the intensive care unit for two days. After he was released from the intensive care unit, he could only lie flat on his back every day because he had a steel tube inserted in his anus. Ma mama couldn't hold him when he cried, so she had to stay by his bedside and touch his head and hands as much as she could to distract him from his pain. Before he came to Chunhui Care Home, he could not suckle and had been fed by nasal feeding. After a period of training, he was able to drink from a small amount of 5ml of milk with a soft spoon every day, and after a month or so he was finally able to drink all the milk by himself. The moment the tube was removed, he was so happy that he laughed out loud!
In addition, since he had an anostomy locally, he needed care for his fistula, and Ma mama would change his fistula bag regularly and clean and disinfect the skin around his stoma to prevent infection and intra-abdominal hypertension. At the same time, he needed to be dilated daily with a dilation stick in order to return to normal infantile physiological elimination.
It is true that fate is not fair, but for little Mumu, Chunhui Care Home has given him another chance to be free from the shackles of fate and to regain his life.
