Can you believe it is the end of our 2024-2025 school year? As you can see our students were thrilled and many shared their elation for moving up to the next grad - or in the case of our 6th graders, graduating and transitioning into middle school. They also expressed their joy in being able to attend Rangsei's Believe In Me school, the blessings of having good food to eat and the excitement they felt for all the new things they have learned. From gardening to computers, every Rangsei student was grateful for the opportunity to learn and grow. Our staff was equally ready to share student growth with parents during the end of the year parent and teacher conferences.
Each year, just prior to the brief summer break, Rangsei BIM school hosts parent and teacher conferences. Parents expressed gratitude for the teachers who worked hard to guide their children and support them throughout the year. These meaningful conversations are integral in being sure that our parents understand how much their child has grown, since many are not able to read themselves. Tiffany's parents expressed how happy and proud they are of their daughter. They never imagined that their child could study so well, make such great progress, and blossom into such a respectful and kind girl. Tiffany and her family have lived at the landfill for many years, and they have so many dreams now for their sweet girl.
The last month of ECDC included reviewing the year's lessons, preparing them for next year and giving the kids additional practice through play activities. The students final project was making chicks with their hand prints. It was a fun activity that all the kids thoroughly enjoyed. For the students advancing to the Believe In Me Preschool, many expressed how much they will miss the teachers and nannies along with the playground and toys in the classroom.
For graduation, the students received pencils, notebooks, backpacks, certificates and photographs. The kids were thrilled to share this experience with family and staff. We look forward to seeing how big their dreams can be!
Rangsei's students unfailingly enjoy our chef's hot meals. From the tasty and satisfying meals, to always being served with a smile, students are happy to have lunch at school. Many students voiced how much they will miss the wonderful food while they are on break. Thank goodness it's only a two-week break.
Trying to savor the last moments of group play time, the students' downtime has included lively games of jump rope, catch and races.
Once the school year ended, our teachers were busy with cleaning, repairing and making their classrooms ready for the new year. Teachers were also focused on their most important task, teaching. Each year the Mnistry of Education provides training on new teaching methods and techniquest. The teachers were looking forward to honing their skills and learning how to better guide their students. Many shared how much they appreciated the time to gain new knowledge so that they can apply their learning to the upcoming year.
Thank you for supporting this vital program. We look forward to sharing future updates with you this fall. Your generosity is paving the way for a healthier and brighter future for our Rangsei students!
