After a delay due to the need to hand carry solar lanterns into Uganda, we are pleased to announce that 250 rural families have received the gift of light.
Providing solar lanterns to individual homes means that children can study at night and read with their parents. Additionally, solar lanterns provide light to more safely walk outside of the home after dark. In the Pakwach area, many homes have traditional thatched roofs, and open flame sources of light are not safe. There's a great risk of fire and poor air quality in using flames for lighting. Solar lanterns improve the overall quality and safety of home lighting.
We cannot do this work without the amazing supporters of Love Without Boundaries. Thank you for making it possible to give the gift of light to families in Uganda!
