Many women in Nigeria's remote communities face compounded vulnerabilities: health crises, social stigma, abandonment, and lack of access to essential health services. We recently supported a woman in Rakama community who, after testing positive for TB and HIV, delivered triplets but faced tragic losses and abandonment by her husband. Thanks to community support and donor assistance, she received critical medical care and psychosocial support, yet her journey highlights the urgent need for help
Why your support matter? For example, a woman in Rakama community lost her babies and was abandoned after testing positive for HIV and TB. With your help, similar women can access timely diagnosis, treatment, and emotional care, significantly improving their chances of survival and well-being.
