Dear Friends,
Greetings from STEPS NGO
I hope all of you are taking care and precautions to protect from corona. In India even though the lockdown was lifted, phase wise the people are not coming out. Still carona is not controlled. During last 3 months the people in slums of Srikalahasti municipality in Andhra Pradesh State, India are facing different complications during the Lockdown period. Indian government recently implemented Lockdown and during this period all the activities were shutdown. Even though at present the Lockdown was lifted the corona disease is spreading.
During the health camps in addition to Cancer awareness, we are creating awareness and educating people to take precautions so that they will not be exposed for carona infection.
During the health camp Dr Prameelamma explained to the beneficiary in the above picture about the Cancer symptoms and precautions to be taken to protect from cancers.
Thank you for your support which allows us to organize health camps to these women and girls to change their lives.

During last 3 months the people in slums of Srikalahasti municipality in Andhra Pradesh State, India are facing different complications during the Lockdown period. The woman is the above picture is one of the beneficiaries of this program. Organized awareness meeting for women. During this camp, Dr Prameelamma explained to women about Cancer disease and precautions to be taken by them to protect themselves from Cancer and Carona disease.

Early interventions save women lives

Dear Donors,
Greetings from STEPS NGO
Through this project educating, screening and creating awareness about cancers among women community. This education can ensure the women to save themselves from cancers.
We have organized cancer awareness and screening program in Kailasagiri colony slum, Srikalahasti, India. Gynecological examinations were offered by specialized Gynaecologyst to bring awareness among women for the importance of medical checkups that helps to prevent the diseases. By attending cancer awareness camps in slums, women are aware of different cancers and they are approaching STEPS Health center for initial screening.
“I feel we are thankful to STEPS NGO, GlobalGiving and Donors for supporting this life saving initiative.” said one of the beneficiaries
We are also delighted to develop new partnerships with cancer organizations, hospitals and pharmaceutical companies who can support our initiative by offering project running support, medicines at a reduced cost or donating medication for treatment.
