Over the past two years, Orah Bayit Foundation has empowered girls through structured sports and mentorship, using play as a tool to build confidence, leadership, and life skills. The Play & Excel programme creates safe, supportive spaces where girls can grow socially, emotionally, and physically while developing values that prepare them for life beyond the playing field.
Since inception, more than 200 girls from underserved communities have participated in the programme. Through regular sports sessions and guided play, participants have shown increased self-confidence, improved teamwork, stronger communication skills, and a growing sense of purpose. Many girls who initially struggled with self-expression now actively lead activities and support their peers.
During the reporting period, the Foundation sustained consistent play-based sessions while deepening community engagement with parents, volunteers, and mentors. These relationships have strengthened programme outcomes and reinforced positive behaviors learned during sessions. The Foundation also marked its second anniversary with a community celebration and impact documentary, highlighting real stories of transformation and growth among participants.
While resource and funding constraints remain a challenge, the past two years have demonstrated the power of play in shaping confident, resilient girls. Moving forward, Orah Bayit Foundation aims to expand the Play & Excel programme to reach more communities, strengthen impact tracking, and deepen partnerships.
We are grateful to GlobalGiving and our donors for their continued support in helping us raise champions and create lasting opportunities for girls.
