Network for Human and Social Development is proud to inform our donors that Shannan and Amert, the Indian peafowls representing this cause, are happily settling in with their fellow community avions in Mithrio Charan Chachro Tharparkar. The sanctuary has been majorly completed.
They now have a hut where they can settle down and have food and water. A wired fence with a moated canal has been established to ensure that they are protected against most rainfall and water concertns, as well as against major predators and poachers.
The community has also been participating in the endeavor to save the birds, actively engaged in their food and water provision. Shannan and Amert are happy.
We are also sharing the progress report with photos regarding the work that has been completed.
We thank all of our donors who have helped make this project possible, and for their part in the long term sustainability that guarantees that the Indian Peafowl species in Chachro Tharparkar have a higher chance of conservation. This project would not have been possible without your support.
Project reports on GlobalGiving are posted directly to globalgiving.org by Project Leaders as they are completed, generally every 3-4 months. To protect the integrity of these documents, GlobalGiving does not alter them; therefore you may find some language or formatting issues.
