The Harvesters team has planted, cultivated, and harvested forty-five 60kg bags of maize. Thirty-six of the bags will be used for the Feeding Program for the next twelve months. The remainder will be used to help pay for the agricultural staff.
In addition, thanks to our generous donors, we have secured funding to complete the irrigation system, including an upgraded pump, solar panel to power the pump keypad, and irrigation lines run from the borehole water tank to the farmland and throughout the rows of crops. This irrigation system will allow for a more diverse selection of crops we can grow. The goal is for the agriculture program to eventually produce enough harvest to provide food and revenue to make the agriculture and feeding programs self-sustaining.
Thank you for your prayers and support.
May God bless you exceedingly.
