We couldn’t be happier! One dream just turned into a reality! AUBG starts the new academic year with a great achievement – the Major in Physics, which will undoubtedly significantly enhance the whole AUBG curriculum. It is an important block in the overall knowledge that a well-educated modern person is expected to possess because it develops important analytical, quantitative, deductive, and modeling skills.
One the one hand, students graduating with a Bachelor's degree in Physics will be well-prepared for a graduate study in physics and other STEM fields. On the other hand, they will be ready to assume various job positions requiring analytical, technical and problem-solving skills, as there has been a steady trend in the last decade towards increasing demand for highly qualified workforce with training in science and technology.
Thanks to our fundraising efforts for the Science Lab, we have secured most of the necessary fundamental equipment for performing laboratory exercises in the two general physics courses – Physics I and Physics II. More importantly, the new lab facility will allow for new practical experiences related to optics, holography, and quantum physics to be developed, when additional funds become available.
We are extremely grateful to all of our supporters and keep searching for funding to complete our state of the art laboratory to the benefit of our students.
