The Picaflor House Community Outreach Program enhances education quality and accessibility for children in rural villages around Cusco. Launched during the global pandemic, our initiative makes learning tangible for marginalized communities with limited resources. Our Mobile Library delivers books, teachers, and learning materials to help 100 children re-engage with education and improve literacy through the joy of books.
Education quality in Peru ranks low globally, and rural villages often lack essential resources for effective learning. In rural communities, around 10% of primary school students struggle with basic literacy and comprehension. With most classrooms being multi-grade, teachers find it challenging to address individual learning needs. Our Mobile Library tackles this issue by bringing educational resources to 100 rural children, providing the support and motivation they need to excel academically.
Our Mobile Library delivers books and motivational support to rural villages where education is severely impacted by limited resources. Our dedicated teachers visit rural villages, helping 100s of children aged 5 to 14 re-engage with formal education. Through activities that develop critical thinking, literacy, and communication skills, our program ensures kids stay on track. By making learning fun and entertaining, the Mobile Library ignites students' creativity and passion for education.
By improving access to education, our project will help 100s of children catch up academically and enhance their critical thinking through creative learning. It re-engages children with education, ensuring they return to and stay in school. In the long term, this outreach program aims to elevate education quality in rural villages, opening up better opportunities for these children's futures.
