Thank you for your donation to our Book derive project for education materials for shool Children in Dumpong.
BOOK DONATION
Even though expectations for donations have not been met, we are still excited to go ahead to make donations with what we have raised so far so that the children can be excited about going to School :). This will be the first part of our book donation on this project. 50 children will be receiving an ABAN folder made by our recycling sewing center with 85% of the bags made from recycled sachet water bags (picture attached). They will also be receiving exercise and reading books, pens, pencils, erasers and sharpeners. Donation of Items is scheduled for Second week in March. Subsequent donations will be scheduled as and when we receive funds
HOW ELSE WE ARE RAISING FUNDS
Library for Dumpong School: We are working with a volunteer group as a support to this fundraising to raise the amount needed to set up the library for the School. The school has donated one of its unused class rooms so that we fix what is broken and furnished it’s for this purpose. We are taking in kind donations of laptops and reading books as well.
Fixing the Play Ground for Dumpong School: One of the most pressing needs for the children is a child friendly playground that the Children can use during their school break hours and for community games. The community provided the school with a vast land where the children use as playground. However it is filled with hard rocks and no grass or play toys to use. With an amount of $5000, we will be sending machines to the allocated land to remove the rocks and level the ground. We will also hire a professional and with the support of the community, grass the field to build a safe playground for the children.
