This project will help ABAN support children in some selected rural community schools and orphanages in Ghana with their school materials, an ABAN made subsidized recycled bags and their library. The donations will purchase the books and other materials the child needs to be able to have the best learning experience and to help with setting up their school library. This project also benefits the children of the women training in our women empowerment program.
Education is Free and compulsory for all basic school students. But the reality is that, it has brought a level of hardship to some parents and schools in rural communities.Funds are not enough to provide all the educational needs of the children and so some stay home. This is especially hard on single parents like our women who have to train and do not earn income, and the schools . This project seeks to improve the learning and teaching experiences for 500 children and 2 public schools in Ghana.
ABAN will provide recycled bags, books , and other learning and teaching materials to the affected children and selected schools. Also, we hope to help them set up their schools libraries with books , computers and furniture as a motivation for long term educational success in these communities.
The project will ensure the improvement in the attendance of 500 children to school . It will also reduce the financial burden on parents and increase learning in these communities where Children are more likely to stay at home because of the lack of these basic needs and where teacher need motivation to work.
