Children and adolescents participating in the SOS Children’s Villages Family Strengthening Programme in Lauro de Freitas (Bahia)had the opportunity to enjoy a special day at a water park. Accompanied by their mothers and the organisation’s team, they shared moments of fun and togetherness.
The activity provided families with quality time together, fostering closer relationships between mothers and their children, creating cherished memories, and strengthening family and community bonds. For many of the families we support, leisure experiences like this are not part of their daily lives, making the day even more special.
Access to leisure is a fundamental right of every child and adolescent. It contributes to their holistic development, social interaction, well-being, and sense of belonging. Thanks to the support of our donors, we were able to provide an experience filled with joy, care, and connection, reaffirming the importance of creating opportunities for every child to fully experience childhood.
