In the month of June, we celebrate the traditional Festa de São João, one of the most beloved festivities for children. They love this time of year because they can enjoy typical foods made mainly from corn and peanuts, and they get to wear traditional festive clothing. This year, the children from the SOS Children's Villages Brazil (Aldeias Infantis SOS Brasil) foster care service participated in the celebration with great enthusiasm. In addition to all the fun, this time is also special because it precedes the school holidays.
However, the news isn't always good. Due to the recent flooding in Rio Grande do Sul, SOS Children's Villages Brazil (Aldeias Infantis SOS Brasil) has been working tirelessly to support families and children in the community. We are distributing donations that include food baskets, hygiene kits, mattresses, bedding, towels, water, toys, and school supplies.
