Dear Friends and Supporters,
The end of 2022 is nigh. This year has been transformational for many on our team as some of us have gotten married, become first-time homeowners, graduated from university, changed jobs, launched new careers and enterprises, and become caretakers for elderly parents.
And still, our commitment to The Emerge Project and our mission remains strong.
As we close out 2022 we have been focused on ensuring we’re ready for a strong start to 2023. We have been cleaning house: getting our new board members onboarded and registered; organizing all of our digital assets—the photos, video clips, and completed videos—onto an easily accessible and manageable platform; and starting the search for a volunteer to help us develop our website.
We are fortunate to have a fantastic team of board members and advisors who are excited about The Emerge Project and eager to take it to the next level. They hail from South Africa, Brazil, Tanzania, Kenya, Germany, and the US. Recently some members of the team came together in Johannesburg, some for the first time in person, and shared dreams, goals, and ideas for our work in the coming year and beyond. It was a fun and lively time over good food and beverages!
We hope you will also join in our efforts! Apart from your financial donations, there are other ways to get involved. In particular, we are currently looking for a volunteer who can help build our website. Is this something you or someone you know can assist with?
Many thanks to you! May your holidays be full of warmth, cheer, and goodwill.
Until next time, with gratitude,
The Emerge Project Team
