Hello, GlobalGiving supporters! First of all, We are really sorry. Because this report was so late. Global Civic Sharing opened a fundraiser to provide medicine and sanitation kits for the health of Myanmar's Karen mothers and their children after a three-month border closure due to Covid-19. Even though the target amount of the fundraising box could not be reached, donations filled with your love were delivered to the beneficiaries.
Share hope and love through birth kits
Donations from GlobalGiving supporters translated into great hope and comfort for local mothers and their newborn babies in an environment where the supply of medicines became difficult and stability is not guaranteed due to the Covid-19 restrictions. The mothers who received the kits expressed their gratefulness to Happy Bean supporters for their interest and love. They promised to raise their children with the same values.
Covid-19 and the advent of new challenges
In Myanmar, the people Karen living in the Karen State are facing an unprecedented emergency as the Covid-19 situation worsens and the military coup led to an increasing number of the displaced population. None of us want to witness a situation where mothers and their newborn babies have no access to basic medical care and services. Thanks to the continued interest and support from GlobalGiving supporters, prospects for a return to better living conditions among the Karen people are bright. Once again, we would like to thanks all of you for your helping hand.
