Small holder farmers were trained in how to activate biochar to enhance effectiveness of biochar to improve soil fertility and improve crop productivity and increase crop yields.
Our Team did hand holding support for individual farmers as a way of monitoring visits and field support to the farmers to successfully adopt the biochar as climate smart agriculture to improve agricultural output and food security among the households.
The farm field results were improved yields through increase output and increase size of food crops . Pictorial sample farms show how the smallholder farmers farm outputs improved during the period under reporting.
Total of 215 small holder farmers received capacity building in the biochar systems of farming including making of biochar. 150 farmers representing 70% received skill training in biochar preparation and activation.
We thank all our numerous supporters for this achievements and looking forward to more impact training during the next reporting period.
