During the reporting period, preparations for field training were undertaken. Biochar made by the farmers were prepared, measured and bagged ready for capacity building of the farmers to apply biochar to the cropland. Biochar nurseries for the field planting were raised waiting for readiness for planting, all towards supply to the farmers field training days for training on how to apply biochar on the field to various types of crops on their demonstrative plot.
Selected cash crop seeds were nursed with biochar soil to facilitate fast germination and subsequent growth. In the comming months all field training kits will be set for the field demonstration which will be in our next report.
