Our students have to take care of themselves. And it's not easy at normal times. They don't always plan their budget correctly and they don't read or count very well. And now because of the coronavirus, a lot of terrible news and new rules...
As our student Toma recently said in an interview with graduates, “I'm afraid of getting lost in this world.”
Thanks to your support over these 17 years, graduates of Big Change have become nurses, couriers, programmers, cleaners, pharmacists, cooks, and social workers... Who will our current students become?
Our new students. Their case is very inspiring! When the quarantine started, their neighbors on the special care institutions (psychoneurological boarding school) began to complain about noise on the video coursies. Girls study in the Big Change by video link. We already thought to contact the administration, but L. and O. solved the problem themselves! They they negotiated with the administration and moved into another room. Now they can engage in video lessons and do not disturb anyone.
And one of our graduates now works as a nurse. She is a nurse and we are very worried about her, but we also know that she is a very responsible person and does her job well.
We hope to overcome this crisis as well. And we hope to continue our work and keep supporting our guys.
