Dear Friends!
During 2020-2021 academic year "Big Change" helped 74 young guys in different ways: some students study at classes, some attend extra-curricular classes, and some receive support in difficult life circumstances.
Our students are:
-Young people still living in the orphanages, but close to starting independent life (14 to 18 years old);
-Adopted or "foster care" school age children (14 to 18 years old);
-Orphanage leavers who are able to live independently (older 18 years old) or who were placed in mental houses at the age of 18.
Our students this academic year:
-coped with educational tasks
-coped with the task of finding a job
-solved family tasks and learned to manage finances
-engaged in creativity and participated in Big Change events
-learned to see the contribution of other people to their success, to be grateful, in particular, to donors and educators of Big Change.
During 2020-2021 academic year we had different training sessions and activities within the program modules:
- Education without gaps - 6744 lessons
- Self-education - 4 conferences
- English club - 17 meetings
- Theater Club - 8 performances
- Traveller - 18 exhibitions, 5 excursions, 1 trip to Vologda
- Biological practice - 2 hikes, 1 meeting, 4 trips, 1 excursion to Reserve
- Economic club - 5 meetings
Feedback from foster parents:
- mother of Serezha V. "I am satisfied that my child graduated from high school and was able to go to college. And there were very few hopes for this before school change))
I wish you had a good time, there were donors, grants and benefactors. You deserve it! Thank you very much. You have made an invaluable contribution to Serezha's future. I think that over time he will appreciate it too. Next year he wants to do mathematics for himself. And at first it was necessary to force him to study, and he missed classes".
- mother of Dima M. "I am deeply convinced that we do not meet anyone just like that in life, and our acquaintance with wonderful, competent teachers is a sign of fate. Thank you for your work, which you are doing so conscientiously and professionally. Special thanks to the founders for the reliability, for the chance you give children".
