Shine On! Kids 2013 Honor Life Project was a project dedicated to honoring the stories of children fighting cancer in hospitals all across Japan. Through the Beads of Courage (r) program, their stories and journeys of courage are honored and given voice.
The 2013 Honor Life project started with the goal to raise enough money to support one hospital in the Beads of Courage (r) program for one year. We asked for $5,000 and have raised $7,254 to date. That the project was not only met, but exceeded is received with huge gratitude and appreciation from Shine On! Kids. To every individual and to all of our sponsors that helped us to reach our goal, thank you. Your voices of support and dedication to the communities of Japan makes a difference.
The money raised will go towards helping not just one, but two new hospitals to implement the Beads of Courage (r) program in 2014. We are working with one hospital in the Tohoku area and one hospital in the the Tokyo Area.
Our work is far from over though, as these programs are a commitment to the kids, families, hospitals and communities, year in and year out. Shine On! Kids is dedicated to the implementation and legacy of the programs in all of the communities we affect. We urge you to stay involved and to keep giving your time, support, effort and generosity.
