Africa is home to 24 of the 25 poorest countries in the world, and 75% of its population lives on less than $2 a day. We are able to provide financial services to the poorest of the poor in Africa.
Less than 20% of those living in sub-Saharan Africa have access to banking services. This initiative works to develop a network of banks to address the capital infrastructure needs of communities in Africa that are isolated from the financial system.
Opportunity banks provide secure savings and offer microloans to struggling entrepreneurs. We aim to help farmers increase crops and food security in Africa.
This will have a direct impact on the financial independence of families, and on the economic health of the nations as a whole. With your help, the Banking on Africa campaign will reach one in 20 of the most impoverished Africans by 2015.
