This project aims to enhance UNPADE's bakery workshop by finalizing production space setup, expanding training in baking techniques, and improving sales and communication skills of participants with intellectual disabilities. The goal is to provide a sustainable and inclusive work opportunity, fostering social and economic independence for the beneficiaries.
People with intellectual disabilities face significant barriers to employment due to lack of specialized training, appropriate work environments, and limited job opportunities. Many struggle with low social and vocational skills, leading to social isolation and low self-esteem. Existing programs often lack the necessary resources and support to help them develop the skills needed for meaningful, stable work.
This project will provide specialized baking training, equip the workshop with necessary tools, and create a supportive environment for individuals with intellectual disabilities. It will teach them valuable skills in baking, packaging, and communication, helping them build confidence and gain work experience. By expanding product offerings and optimizing sales channels, the project will create sustainable employment opportunities, fostering social and economic inclusion.
In the long term, this project will promote greater social and economic inclusion for people with intellectual disabilities, helping them achieve financial independence through sustainable employment. It will also raise community awareness about the value of inclusive work, breaking down stereotypes and fostering acceptance. As participants develop skills and confidence, they will be better positioned to integrate into the workforce, contributing to a more inclusive society.
