Baghdad is an informal settlement outside an area called Salvokop in the capital city, Pretoria, South Africa. The families in Baghdad lives in makeshift shacks that have no electricity, toilets and water. The city has given them water tanks and mobile toilets to make it easier for them to also combat Covid 19. These are mostly unemployed, With your funding, we will help these 1000 household families that are socially distressed through provision and distribution of food parcels for six months
Since from 26th March 2020 till today our country has been on levels of National Lockdown because of the Covid 19 pandemic and the subsequent variants in South Africa as a method to curb the spreading of the virus with severe restrictions on travel and movement. Since this period of 1 year 6 months, many people lost their businesses and jobs and this situation has caused a lot of social distress in these families.
God First Outreach Organisation has designed this project to help solve the problems identified in these 1000 household families that are socially distressed through provision and distribution of food parcels for the period of six months.
For the entire period of this 6 months project, it will save lives and reduce hunger and starvation and occurrence of criminal activities in this community until the country is back to economic stability.
