It is estimated that more than one million students throughout Costa Rica will begin the school in february. However, for more than 328,848 families living in poverty, this means a real economic challenge. The "Back to School with + Solidarity" campaign seeks to support this students by collecting school supplies, to be delivered to the students of the 17 public schools where we work.
According to statistics the economic expense involved in the study is one of the main causes for the students not attendind to schools. The 17 public schools where our organization works will receive a total of more than 15,000 students in high social vulnerability, implying a high margin of difficulty for their families, who must acquire basic materials such as notebooks, pencils, school uniforms, books, among others.
The Foundation organizes the "Back to School with + Solidarity" campaign, which has as its main objective the collection of school supplies and uniforms, to deliver to more than 15,000 vulnerable young students from the 17 public schools where we work. The acquisition of these materials implies an important impact since it covers the main financial expenses of the students for a whole school year.
The work of the organization is to support young people so that they stay within the educational system and can access more and better opportunities.
