We take this opportunity to wish our loyal supporters a blessed 2023! We are thankful for your continued support for the work of HOPE Africa in making a positive change for the most marginalised and those living on the fringes of society.
At the end of last year we were able to provide 150 stationery packs with bags to children in 3 Early Childhood Development Centres who were preparing to start their first primary school year in 2023. At these graduations we were able to do a short presentation on the work of HOPE Africa and encouraged the little ones to enjoy their first year of big school, learn as much as they can from their teachers and make their parents and community proud. We spoke a little bit about safety inside and outside of school as GBV continues to be a problem in our communities. In some of our communities, people must also constantly be on the lookout for gang violence which is flaring up at alarming levels. We pray that our children will enjoy a disturbance free school year in order for them to learn optimally and thereby increase their chances at making a change within their homes and communities.
It is a sad reality that we could not assist more children in Southern Africa who desperately need uniforms, stationery and other supplies to make their first schoolyear a good experience. With the support of more people, we may be able to assist little ones from far flung areas in South Africa, Lesotho, Namibia and Swaziland. Will you please consider making a small donation today to ensure a brighter future for our children?
We are very thankful to everyone who supports the work of HOPE Africa and to the UCT Sport Dept for the donation of the drawstring bags! May our partnership continue to grow for the benefit of all beneficiaries.
God bless
