Back to school supplies

In the month of June 2024 HOPE Africa was able to contribute towards purchasing school shoes for learners in Umthatha, Eastern Cape province, South Africa. This is an ongoing campaign to purchase and deliver school shoes in all dioceses in the Southern region. The diocese of Umthatha was the latest to receive their supply of school shoes. The handover was done at a Sunday service with the leadership present.

The learners were very grateful to receive a new pair of shoes especially because some of them walk long distances to go to school. In these parts of the country a pair of shoes does not last long. We will continue to provide the remaining dioceses with their school shoes. None of this work would be possible without your generous contributions.

HOPE Africa has been able to purchase and distribute much needed school supplies at the beginning of this year. Many children go to school barefoot because their parents cannot afford to buy them school shoes. Every year HOPE Africa does its best to mobilize resources to purchase as many shoes as possible. This year was no different, over 400 pairs of shoes were given to the Diocese of George and Lesotho amongst others.

We were also fortunate enough to supply stationery to a handful of learners. We will continue to monitor the need and provide assistance where possible.
