On November 17, 2024, tragedy struck when he was admitted to the Trauma ICU at Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Nagpur following a road traffic accident. Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, Mr. Ravindra suffered a brain hemorrhage and was declared brain-dead.
It was during this profoundly painful time that his family, supported by Grief Counselor and Transplant Coordinator Ms. Bhagyashree Nighot from the MOHAN Foundation, made a decision that turned their loss into a beacon of hope for others.
After several heartfelt discussions, the family chose to donate Mr. Ravindra’s liver and kidneys, giving the gift of life to three individuals. On November 19, 2024, his liver was allocated to New Era Mother and Child Hospital, while his kidneys went to GMCH Nagpur and Wockhardt Hospital, respectively.
