Let us join hands in training AVP young ones

AVP Workshop for Students in Rwanda

We would like to sincerely thank all our donors, partners, and well-wishers who continue to support our vision of empowering young people through peace education and nonviolent conflict resolution. The AVP (Alternatives to Violence Project) Workshop for Students in Rwanda was designed to equip students with practical skills in peacebuilding, communication, teamwork, conflict transformation, and leadership.

The project aims to create safe and peaceful learning environments where students are empowered to resolve conflicts without violence and become ambassadors of peace within their schools and communities. In a time where many young people face emotional stress, peer pressure, violence, and social challenges, AVP workshops remain an important tool in promoting understanding, healing, and positive relationships among youth.

Unfortunately, due to insufficient funding, the project is still on hold and has not yet been fully implemented as planned. While preparations and community engagement efforts have continued, financial limitations have affected our ability to organize workshops, train facilitators, provide learning materials, and reach the targeted students.

Despite these challenges, the demand and need for the project remain very high. Teachers, students, and community leaders continue to express strong interest in peacebuilding programs that can help young people develop healthy communication skills, emotional resilience, and peaceful conflict management.

Once funding becomes available, the project will focus on conducting AVP workshops in schools across Rwanda, bringing together students from different backgrounds to learn about cooperation, active listening, respect, and nonviolent approaches to solving problems. We believe these workshops will help reduce school conflicts, improve relationships among students, and contribute to building a culture of peace in the wider community.

We therefore make a humble appeal to donors, friends, and well-wishers to stand with us in supporting these young people. Your support can help provide training materials, facilitate workshops, support facilitators, and create opportunities for students to grow into responsible and peaceful leaders.

Together, we can empower the next generation with the values and skills needed to build peaceful communities and a brighter future for Rwanda.

Thank you for your continued encouragement, prayers, and partnership in this important mission.
