I am honored to be reaching out to share some exciting updates regarding Atlas Corps. As you might know, we have been working during this year towards a forward-looking redesign and regeneration.

Accordingly, we’re thrilled to announce that Atlas Corps will be integrating with Cultural Vistas, a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that shares our deep commitment to social impact and intercultural competency.

About the Integration

Cultural Vistas leverages the power of international exchange to connect lives, enhance global skills, and drive positive change around the world. To further this mission, we are pleased to announce an integration with Atlas Corps, an organization founded to address critical social issues by developing leaders and strengthening organizations through training programs and a global alumni community of skilled social change professionals.

By integrating their focus on these areas with our expertise in global skill-building, we can create a more impactful platform for nurturing leaders who are equipped to tackle the world's most pressing challenges.

Additionally, Cultural Vistas’ integration of Atlas Corps enables the organization to expand its geographic mission connections, leveraging Atlas Corps’ deep ties to South Asia, and growing its community in Africa and Latin America.

“By uniting our resources, expertise, and networks, we are poised to augment our innovative programs and provide even more opportunities for emerging leaders to make a global impact,” said Jennifer Clinton, President and CEO of Cultural Vistas.

GlobalGiving helps Fellows Leadership Development

Dear Friend,

Thank you so much for your commitment to our Fellows and Virtual Leadership Scholars. Because of you, Atlas Corps continues to engage with global talent who are working on enriching peoples’ lives in their local communities and developing or enhancing their leadership skills.

Meet Deseret Management Corporation fellow Comfort Umoren-Olorunnisomo who is passionate about economic development. Comfort is a communications professional with five plus years of experience. At home in Nigeria, Comfort belongs to a group called the Knowledge Skills and Entrepreneurship Network. It is a group for young people who are interested in assessing opportunities and resources to help them become better professionals and entrepreneurs, so they share opportunities and resources and invite people to come train their members, Comfort shares her learnings there.

About Atlas Corps and her Host organization, Comfort says,“... it has helped me and opened my eyes to a lot of things in terms of being inclusive and culturally aware in my communication. And in terms of leadership, it has also helped me to not just be someone who wants to drive results in others, but someone who is interested in the people you are leading.”

Your support inspires confidence in her role as a community leader, her message to women during International Women’s Day was:

“Keep being a woman keeping strong. And don't hide your voice. Keep speaking up, keep speaking out.Whenever you're giving the opportunity at the table. …When you are the only person that is different, it's your strength. Use it to the best of your ability. And don't just rely on people to give you space on the table. Strive to excel there, try to let your voice be heard. Try to also walk the talk when you're given positions to affect those drive change. Don't just relax and say, oh, they needed diversity and I've gotten it and, you know, that's it. Try to drive results that when people see it, they will be proud of you and they would want to give other women a space at the table. And they want to listen to other women. So, and keep inspiring all that we may don't just keep it to yourself, keep inspiring other people.

Fellow, Boubacar, Inspires Change at CorpsAfrica

With your support, Atlas Corps continues to connect rising global professionals to mission-driven organizations in the United States through our Fellowship programs. Our partnership with these Host Organizations not only provides Fellows with the professional experience to effect change in their home countries but also increases global perspective within the organizations.

Meet Class 47 Fellow Boubacar from Senegal, who is currently serving at CorpsAfrica as their Alumni Association Coordinator. In this role, Boubacar has built a support network for CorpsAfrica volunteers and successfully led their first cohort of the Entrepreneurship Incubator, and formalized their Matching Scholarship Program. Boubacar shares the lasting impact his experience with Atlas Corps and CorpsAfrica will have on his professional career, “During the Fellowship, the immersion sessions with Atlas Corps allowed me to improve my leadership skills and connect with additional expert resources and tools. I discovered and appreciated American culture and learned more about the history and civilization of the United States. I met many inspiring people and attended several professional development events in person and virtually. At the end of my Fellowship, I would be able to manage development programs for non-profit organizations or international organizations and I am also able to start and manage a business.”
