Thank you for the ongoing support through these momentous times, especially during our leadership transition. Now, it is my honor to share this note from our Board of Directors. I look forward to welcoming our incoming CEO and continuing my role within Atlas Corps. We look forward to our first 15 years and beyond!

Also, remember to save the date for Saturday, November 20 for the Atlas Corps 15th Anniversary Gala. We look forward to a hybrid event in DC and virtual!

Acting CEO, Class 2 Alumna

Dear Atlas Corps Community,

On behalf of the Atlas Corps Board of Directors, I thank you for your ongoing support of Atlas Corps during this pivotal moment in the organization’s history. Today, it is with great enthusiasm that I announce the incoming Atlas Corps CEO: Bidjan Nashat. Bidjan will officially join Atlas Corps on September 20.

Bidjan, most recently coming from Save the Children—an Atlas Corps Host Organization—brings extensive experience in the international development field that includes leading large, global non-governmental organizations as well as experience engaging in local community-based entities. In addition to his operational experience, we were impressed by Bidjan’s purpose-driven approach in articulating his vision for himself, the organization (including the staff, Fellows, Scholars, and Alumni), and global leadership in the 21st Century. We are confident that he will take Atlas Corps into the next 15 years with the passion that Scott Beale led us through during our first 15 years.

The Atlas Corps Board of Directors appointed a selection committee, with support from the search firm DRi, who engaged in a vigorous search process. The ultimate result was the Board’s approval of Bidjan as CEO. We thank all who engaged in this process and offered insight into our strategic development. We express special appreciation to this selection committee for the energy they dedicated to this process.

On behalf of the Board, I also extend our utmost appreciation to Abby Robinson(Chief Development & Engagement Officer, Class 2 Alumna) who seamlessly stepped into the role of Acting CEO. Her enthusiastic efforts, together with the entire Atlas Corps Team, have maintained an incredibly strong program and organization throughout this transition. During 2021, our dynamic Team navigated ongoing changes and still achieved the engagement of 60 Fellows and 376 virtual Scholars while also supporting the growth of our entire global Community. Team, you are an inspiration!

We invite you to meet Bidjan in our upcoming livestream: Atlas Corps Updates | August 23, 2021 | 12:00 PM ET - a conversation with Atlas Corps Leadership featuring Scott Beale, Abby Robinson, and Bidjan Nashat.

We also want to thank YOU, the Atlas Corps Community. Everything we have achieved at Atlas Corps, from winning online fundraising contests 15 years ago to overcoming the financial hardships of the pandemic to launching a Virtual Leadership Institute to engaging 1,100 professionals from 110 countries, has been accomplished by the collective efforts of this Community.

People are at the heart of our mission. This fact remains true today and will remain our guiding light into the future.

Very Best,

Whitney Hunter-Thomson

Chair, Atlas Corps Board of Directors

How are you? Greetings from the team at Atlas Corps! Thank you for your kind donation to Atlas Corps as part of our Global Impact Campaign. Thank you for empowering our growing community, representing 1000 social change leaders from 105 countries. We appreciate you!

When you support Atlas Corps, you make possible continued engagement amongst our Community of Fellows, Alumni, and Scholars. Alumna Alisa (Russia, Class 34, Host: Eurasia Foundation) is 1 of 16 Atlas Corps Alumni who volunteer as Group Captains for the Atlas Corps Virtual Leadership Institute, our online learning community for global social change leaders from around the world. Alissa shared in a blog post about her experience as a Group Captain-

“I wanted to continue being engaged with people who deeply care about their communities, who strive to make a change, who are driven and passionate. Being among Atlas Corps Fellows always gave me an extra boost of motivation to work on the projects that I am involved in, and I felt that getting to know the Fellows would have a similar effect on me. And I was 100% correct!”

Thank YOU for giving our Community an extra boost of motivation to engage leaders, strengthen organizations, and inspire innovation!

We invite you to join us at the Atlas Corps 15 Year Anniversary Gala, November 20, 2021. Our community will gather in-person in DC and virtually to celebrate 15 years of achievement. For further details and to RSVP visit your early bird donation of $250 reserves your in-person participation!

Thank you for supporting our mission. Thank you for supporting Atlas Corps!

Hello Atlas Corps Community-

We hope this New Year is off to a great start and we thank you for your continued support of Atlas Corps. Thank you for empowering our growing network of 900 social change leaders from 103 countries. We appreciate you!

In 2020, your support allowed Atlas Corps to advance our community of leaders: we supported grounded Fellows, pivoted to a blended Fellowship model, launched the Virtual Leadership Institute, and hosted our largest gathering to date with our first-ever virtual Gala!

300 friends and supporters of Atlas Corps came together during the Global Impact Gala, including Global Changemaker Honoree former Secretary of State Madeleine Albright and Alumni Changemaker Honoree Medha Sharma. We collectively inspired for the year to come!

In 2021, we build on this excitement and invite you to celebrate a special milestone with the Atlas Corps 15 Year Anniversary Gala, November 20, 2021! Our global community will gather to celebrate 15 years of developing leaders, strengthening organizations, and advancing innovation. Will you join us? Details and RSVP at

Thank you for your dedication to connecting talent with opportunity. Thank you for supporting Atlas Corps!

P.S. Have you met Atlas Corps Virtual Scholars Cohort 2? They are virtually awesome and part of our network- including 900 social change leaders from 103 countries!
