How Your Support Leads to Positive Global Impact

By Mary Paris | Interim Partnerships Officer, Atlas Corps

Meet Cohort 11 Scholar, Nazeer, from Pakistan!
Meet Cohort 11 Scholar, Nazeer, from Pakistan!

Thank you for your continued support for Atlas Corps! So far in 2023, we have welcomed 16 Fellows and 148 Scholars from 14 countries, bring us to 1,700+ social change leaders from 116 countries. Our global community continues to grow–and it’s all thanks to you! Your support not only empowers our leaders’ professional and leadership development, but also extends to the local communities that they are making a difference in.

Nazeer Ahmed, one of our Pakistani Scholars that is leading positive change for women and young girls in Balochistan, shares why your support matters. In his words, “The Atlas Corps is truly the organization that creates emerging leaders with a sense of purpose and determination to contribute fresh perspectives, drive positive change, and pave the way for future generations. It becomes our collective responsibility to support the Atlas Corps financially and voluntarily as it is the only organization in the world that is making young leaders’ dreams come true.”

Nazeer joins Atlas Corps as part of the Atlas Corps: Pakistan Emerging Leaders Initiative, a dynamic collaboration with two Atlas Corps Alumni-led organizations: Accountability Lab and CaterpillHERS. In the coming weeks, Nazeer recently graduated from VLI and will soon begin implementing his leadership project, which will educate and empower adolescent girls and young women in rural parts of Balochistan, Pakistan through life skills and leadership training programs. I encourage you to learn more about his project here.

P.S.- In case you missed it, we hosted our Celebration of Service last month, where we welcomed our newest Fellows and Scholars, congratulated those that completed their service, and recognized distinguished members in our community. I invite you to watch it here.
