Meet Adriana, one of our many Scholars who are taking action today to change our world for the better.
Adriana is participating in Atlas Corps’ Virtual Leadership Institute (VLI) from Bolivia, where she is a rising leader in development projects and gender equality. Adriana joins VLI as part of a partnership withCiudad Mundo that is working to equip Bolivian social impact professionals with leadership skills and strengthen ties between the United States and Bolivia toward economic development and inclusive prosperity in Bolivia.
In Adriana’s words, her participation in VLI is helping her gain deeper perspectives to become a more effective leader:
"I am passionate about learning about other cultures and traditions around the world. That's why my favorite part of the Virtual Leadership Institute is being able to meet people who come from different realities than mine, and learn from them and their vision of the world."
Adriana plans to use the knowledge and skills from VLI to make a difference for gender equality. As part of VLI, she is developing a keystone Leadership Project that Adriana can then submit to Atlas Corps for funding. Adriana is planning to work on a project focused on crafting a multidisciplinary approach to empower women and girls. Through this initiative, Adriana hopes to help lay a foundation for a future where women and girls have a chance at an equal future.
