Dear COHI Family,
We are so happy to say that our Asylum Shower Project has been running successfully! We reached out to our community over the summer in the hopes of creating a hygiene program that would promote dignity and respect to asylum seeking families in San Antonio. After making their way to the US-Mexico border and spending days or weeks in US Customs and Border Control detention facilities, many of the families we work with were in desperate need of a safe, reliable way to clean themelves. We are so happy to say that along with our partner asylum shelter and with some help from the city of San Antonio, the shower program has been able to provide just that.
Thank you for supporting this initiative - a key part of our larger efforts to keep asylum seeking families healthy and safe.
Love,
COHI
