As the Covid-19 vaccination progresses in Brazil, the number of deaths is fortunately decreasing. However, only 19% of the population is completely immune to the coronavirus, due to the lack of vaccine doses to accelerate the process.
It’s very important to remember that we must keep our attention, avoiding crowds, wearing masks, sanitizing our hands and maintaining all the necessary safety measures to diminish the virus spread, even if you are already vaccinated. We can only do it together.
Your support is fundamental for us to keep on our work, offering a public health service with quality for the poor, and assisting the homeless population, specially during this crisis.
With your donation, we were able to acquire hygiene utensils, used to clean the hospital facilities, reducing the risks of any kinds of infecction. We also purchased Personal Protective Equipments for our professionals and patients, such as masks, surgical caps, latex gloves, disposable surgical gowns and face shield masks. Additionally, during the year of 2021 we have already helped more than 19.000 people living on the streets, by distributing ready meals, hygiene kits and snacks.
In the words of our founder, Santa Dulce dos Pobres: “If there were more love, the world would be different, if we loved more, there would be less war. Everything is summed up in this: give your best in your brother's favor, and there will be peace on Earth”.
Thank you for your kind support!
