We are building and installing handwashing stations as well as training others as well as educating the people on the importance of handwashing throughout Uganda. We have also created a tutorial program to help the children continue their studies to help them in school. And our newest project is helping the elderly by providing food/medical care/basic service around their farms and home.
Many people are effective by food insecurity/lack of education and lack of personal assistance. We work in a very remote part of Uganda where help is hard to come by for the local people. With the schools back open as well as the local markets, we are trying to reach as many people as possible, especially the young and elderly to discuss Hygiene and Health. This is a very difficult habit to maintain without clean and available water sources.
We have already installed over 500 handwashing stations which we also maintain with clean water and soap. These stations are located in the entrances of the villages, in front of local stores and at each school and church which are open for limited services. We also reach out to the elderly in multiple villages to cook/clean and help with their local gardens. We also provide bedding to those who do not have anything at all. Our team cares for the elderly each week to ensure they stay healthy
Education is vital in these communities and hygiene education is so important for health. It is a great prevention of most common maladies. Education the children of the village will help them maintain their studies to help them excel in school and to further their education.
