Since we opened our doors in Ramla in December we've been very busy hosting our various donors and partners on tours of the our Hub and Campus.
In February we had our Grand Opening of the Hub and Campus where we invited our partners and supporters for food and cocktails and opened our doors to the community to see the space. Ramla's mayor, Michael Vidal welcomed our guests and Appleseeds to Ramla.
We also hosted our Net@ Dimona and Jersualem youth in the Hub for a Coexistence Meet Up. The students engaged in ice breakers, a scavenger hunt in the nearby shuk and workshops related to understanding "the other" and breaking down barriers.
In March, Appleseeds hosted an important tour of the Hub (the first in Ramla) for the Director General for the Ministry of Periphery Development in the Negev and Galil, Ariel Mishal, Ramla Mayor Michael Vidal and the Municipality's Director Ronen Azaria. This Hub project which was developed in partnership with the municipality of Ramla and Negev Galil represents a strengthening of the local technological ecosystem. We are extremly proud of the graduates of our technological employment programs and are very excited about the future graduates to come.
Finally, we hosted a Zichron Ba'Salon with Holocaust survivor Sara Rozenberg, who gave her testimony to Appleseeds staff and Net@ students. For Sara, it was important to convey to the audience a message of love without borders and stereotypes, free of hatred and violence with a special emphasis on choosing to love life above all else. Her audience was incredibley moved by Sara's story and words.
We are looking forward to many more student and staff meetups, hosting our partners, donors and local community organizations and many more technological and innovative events in our Ramla Hub.
