The Animal Enclosure and Enrichment Fund will provide valuable funding to provide routine maintenance and upkeep of our 7 outdoor raptor enclosures and 16 indoor enclosures for our reptiles and mammals. This project will also support new enrichment initiatives as well as providing support for Piedmont Wildlife Center's upcoming move to a new location.
Piedmont Wildlife Center houses over 25 different Ambassador Animals such as raptors, mammals and reptiles. All of their enclosures need constant attention and maintenance in order to provide safe housing for our animals. Our reptiles and mammals have indoor enclosures and our raptors live in outdoor enclosures. The outdoor raptor enclosures are subject to all kinds of weather and often need additional maitenance and repair including board and perch replacement.
Piedmont Wildlife Center is committed to providing routine maintenance and improvements to all of our animal enclosures as well as focusing on enrichment. When the animals are correctly taken care of, we are able to educate the public about the importance of these species.
The project will provide funding to maintain all housing for our 25 Ambassador Animals to ensure that they are given the best quality of life. The project will also provide funding for brand new and updated enclosures when Piedmont Wildlife Center moves locations.
This project has provided additional documentation in a PDF file (projdoc.pdf).
