Over the coming year, the Women’s Leadership Network will deepen its impact through a comprehensive suite of training, mentorship, and advocacy initiatives designed to elevate emerging women peacebuilders on the global stage. Through hybrid bi-monthly affinity group meetings, monthly virtual check-ins, and a structured mentorship program, 15–20 participants will build skills in negotiation, leadership, gender mainstreaming, and cross-cultural communication. A five-day capacity-building workshop—developed in partnership with women-led organizations within ALLMEP—will further strengthen participants’ advocacy abilities as they prepare for international engagements in Washington D.C., Brussels, Berlin, and London. These activities create a sustained environment for trust-building, peer learning, and strategic collaboration, supported by digital resource-sharing and ongoing feedback mechanisms.
As these leaders advance through the program, WLN will produce a comprehensive policy guide highlighting both the challenges faced by women in conflict contexts and their essential contributions to peacebuilding. The guide’s actionable recommendations will be shared with 500 key stakeholders, including government officials, international organizations, civil society, media, and academia, to influence policy and practice. Advocacy campaigns and “For the Future” screenings will further amplify the voices and experiences of women peacebuilders, ensuring at least 100 government stakeholders are informed and encouraged to adopt more inclusive peace strategies. Together, these efforts position the WLN to drive meaningful, gender-responsive change across local, regional, and global peacebuilding landscapes.
