This project will sustain Achvat Amim as a platform committed to building vibrant Jewish and international participation in broader movements for racial, economic, and gender justice. It will resource diverse cohorts of activists with the relationships, analytic frameworks, and practical tools they need to function as sustained actors within larger democratic movements and in solidarity with Palestinian civil resistors leading popular struggle in the region.
Achvat Amim must arrive at a moment in which it is more resourced as a movement platform for its participants, staff, and movement partners. We must be more able to provide scholarships for prospective participants from JOCSM, LGBTQ, working class, and other structurally marginalized communities. And we must be able to operate in conditions which allow us to show up as fully as possible to solidarity organizing with communities living under occupation.
Achvat Amim is planning our first ever monthly sustainer campaign, providing our alumni community the opportunity to invest in Achvat Amim and in the solidarity, coresistance and movement work we all care about. With a goal of securing 1200 USD per month, it will be an invaluable and critical contribution to Achvat Amim's general wellness, sustainability, and efficacy as a solidarity and civil resistance body.
Achieving our goal of 1200 USD per month will allow Achvat Amim to invest in JOCSM, LGBTQ, and working class justice leadership. It will allow participants and staff to be resourced sustainably in their work combatting structural inequality and state violence. And it will secure the continued health of a community building project that provides transformative training and education for our communities in the work against occupation and inequality.
