In Cuenca, Ecuador, too many children grow up believing their dreams are out of reach. All Children Deserve to Dream helps vulnerable children and teens discover their strengths through mentoring, inspiring workshops and vocational guidance. Through My First Job, teens aged 16 and 17 earn their first paycheck during summer vacation and choose to invest it in their passions or save it. Every child deserves someone who believes in them, and the chance to build a future with their own hands.
Nearly half of children in Ecuador live in poverty (INEC, 2025). In Cuenca, many children and teenagers from vulnerable families grow up without role models, guidance or chances to discover their talents. Without support, many lose motivation, leave school early and struggle to imagine a future beyond their circumstances. Teens also lack safe, supervised spaces to gain a first work experience and learn to manage their own money.
We offer mentoring, inspiring workshops, motivational talks, psychological therapy, vocational guidance and community connections. In summer, teens aged 16-17 join My First Job: 4 supervised hours a week, with parental consent, earning their own money.
We empower 70 vulnerable children and teens to envision a future full of opportunity through mentoring, workshops, motivational talks and vocational guidance. Through My First Job, 10 teens aged 16-17 gain supervised summer work experience with parental consent, earning their own money to invest in a gym, academy or savings. These experiences build the confidence and habits young people need to stay in school and break cycles of poverty, because every child deserves to dream big.
