Title: Food and Dengue Prevention Support for Flood-Affected Families in Sialkot
Summary
Alkhidmat Foundation Central Punjab distributed one-month food packs, mosquito nets, and cooked meals among 100 flood-affected families in District Sialkot. This initiative aimed to provide immediate nutrition support and help prevent the spread of dengue and other vector-borne diseases in flood-hit areas.
Since August 16, Alkhidmat Foundation has been continuously distributing flood relief items across Pakistan, reaching more than 200,000 people with essential food, hygiene, and shelter support.
Story / Update
Following severe flooding in District Sialkot, hundreds of families were left without food and shelter, facing growing health risks due to stagnant water and the spread of mosquitoes.
To address these urgent needs, Alkhidmat Foundation Central Punjab launched a relief operation providing one-month dry ration packs, mosquito nets for dengue prevention, and freshly cooked meals to 100 affected families. The initiative not only addressed hunger but also prioritized public health and safety in areas vulnerable to disease outbreaks after floods.
The relief brought comfort and protection to families struggling to rebuild their lives, ensuring they had nutritious food and safe living conditions amid difficult circumstances.
