In the face of unprecedented floods that have uprooted millions of lives across Pakistan, Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan (AKFP) has emerged as a frontline responder, working tirelessly to serve those most affected. With its extensive volunteer network and organizational reach across the country, Alkhidmat has mobilized immediate and comprehensive relief operations, ensuring that no family is left behind in this hour of crisis.
One of the most urgent needs during the floods has been the safe evacuation of stranded families. Alkhidmat’s dedicated rescue teams have been working around the clock to bring people to safety, often braving dangerous waters and difficult terrain. Alongside rescue operations, the Foundation has also established shelter tents and relief camps, giving displaced families a safe place to stay while they begin to recover from their losses.
Food insecurity has been one of the greatest challenges for flood-affected families. Alkhidmat has responded by providing both cooked meals and dry rations boxes, ensuring that families have immediate sustenance as well as food supplies for the days ahead. In addition, hygiene kits tailored for women and girls are being distributed to safeguard dignity and health in these vulnerable times.
Health remains a critical concern in the aftermath of floods, with waterborne and infectious diseases spreading rapidly. To address this, Alkhidmat’s medical teams and mobile health units are on the ground, treating illnesses and providing essential medicines to those who need them most. These services are often the only healthcare accessible to families cut off by floodwaters.
Beyond physical needs, Alkhidmat recognizes the psychological toll disasters leave behind. Volunteers trained in psycho-social support are actively engaging with families, offering comfort, counseling, and emotional resilience to help them cope with trauma. At the same time, Alkhidmat’s volunteers continue to participate in large-scale packaging drives, preparing food packs, ration boxes, and relief kits that sustain ongoing field operations.
Every effort being made — from rescue to relief, from healthcare to rehabilitation — reflects Alkhidmat Foundation’s unwavering commitment to its mission of “service to humanity, with no discrimination.” With the steadfast support of its donors, partners, and volunteers, Alkhidmat continues to bring hope, care, and dignity to flood-affected families across Pakistan.
