We wanted to reach out to our donors to thank you for being so supportive of our work! As April 2017 approaches, we have scheduled several trainings for local Fire and Police Departments. Throughout Norfolk County, you will see Autism Awareness ribbon magnets with The Arc of South Norfolk logo on them on all the cruisers and fire vehicles- we are so pleased our local fire and police departments will be participating in Autism Awareness Month in 2017!!!
We have been able to increase the number of trainings we offer outside of Massachusetts with funding we receive from you- our supporters! You have made a huge difference in training First Responders on the best practices for emergency situations involving people with Autism- Thank you!!!
With our expansion from YOUR SUPPORT, we have been approached by The Ruderman Family Foundation to collaborate with them. They are an international disability advocacy organization and they believe in The ALEC Program at The Arc of South Norfolk. They want to help us foster a deeper understanding of Autism amongst First Response agencies and ensure the safety of ALL citizens. Thank you for helping us create awareness!
