Recovery from an emergency is something that takes months or even years. More than 20 municipalities on the coast of Oaxaca were affected, and although the government sent aid, it did not reach all the communities. That is why, with the support of this campaign, we were able to help affected families in communities farther away from urban centers to receive food and supplies. In total, we have delivered more than 350 food packages, which can support a family for approximately one month.
Another of the needs identified was access to drinking water, as many of the traditional sources were damaged or suffered some damage. Thus, in partnership with Somos Agua, we purchased and delivered water filters for 30 families. With this we are helping to solve this problem in the short term, but also this utensil will work for them once the water supply is back to normal.
There is still a long way to go and we intend to continue providing support and accompaniment to these communities, so the help in this campaign is still valid and necessary.
Thank you all for being close to us!
