Improve the Health of Mother and Child is a project aims to improve the health of mother and child living in rural areas of Kigoma region of Tanzania. Through promote breastfeeding and proper infant and young child feeding (IYCF) practices in Tabora region, Tanzania. By educating mothers, healthcare providers, and community members about the benefits of breastfeeding and appropriate complementary feeding, we aim to improve child health outcomes and reduce infant mortality rates.

The project goal on GlobalGiving Platform is to raise $70000 for educating mothers, healthcare providers, and community members about the benefits of breastfeeding and appropriate complementary feeding.

Since I satarted to raise money on GlobalGiving Platform I have success to raise $10 from one donor within 10 months.

Challenge
  • Limited Donor Priorities many donors focus on specific areas such as  HIV/AIDS, malaria, climate change, so maternal and child health projects may struggle to align with their funding priorities.
  • Competition for Funding, many organizations apply for the same grants, donors, or investors. Donors and foundations have limited resources, making it harder to stand out.
  •  Lack of friends and donors from USA and UK
  •  Lack of volunteers from the USA and UK to raise money for our project or organization.
  •  Lack of staff from the USA or UK to help spread the message to donors

Opportunities

  • We have the opportunity to be on the GlobalGiving platform that helps us meet friends, project leaders, volunteers, donors, Companies and organizations and help us raise funds.
  • We have the opportunity to use social media for fundraising
  • We have the opportunity to participate in deferent events of fundraising.
  • We have the opportunity to be in the Pathway to GlobalGiving group where we can meet project leaders, Partners, and organizations that can advise and support us.
