Education in a new era for Afghanistan

By Hassina Sherjan | Founder + Director

Distributing food during Ramadan
Distributing food during Ramadan
Thank you very much for your continued support for Aid Afghanistan for Education during this difficult time. Our team is continuing to work to find the safest and most effective ways to educate students in Afghanistan's new political reality. We are exploring virtual and self-learning as well as community-based education. We hope to update you with more information soon.
We have been distributing food packages to our students. These packages include rice, floor, cooking oil, beans, sugar, tea and other small items people like to eat during Ramadan. Specifically, our outreach has been focusing on single mothers with 3 to 6 children. This program will continue until the end of Ramadan. We are trying to reach as many of our students as possible.
We also recently distributed learning materials and stationery to 500 students. While public schools are not an option for many students, it's important for children to continue having access to books and writing materials so they can learn at home.
Thank you again for your support and we look forward to keeping you updated.
